Fasting for life:
I have heard some wonderful stories over the past several
weeks; a teenager who fasted for a friend who is far from God, a
Jr Higher who fasted for a confused adult that he cares about, a
husband who fasted for his marriage, a father who fasted in order
to give his family every advantage, a young adult who has been in
the church all her life and never fasted and this was her first
experience and she felt blessed by it, an adult who made a major
life changing decision, an adult who joined me for the entire week
of fasting, numerous kids that fasted a day or even up to 5 days,
an adult who expressed to me numerous times how blessed she was
that we have taken this challenge as a church... May God continue
to be at work at TL and speak life into us!
Fasting book:
Several copies of Fasting by Jentezen Franklin will be
available for you to read. You can also download it on your Kindle
for $6.08 or if you want an audio CD, you can order from
Christianbook.com for $14.99.
Bible Quizzing:
This past week was a great opening week of quizzing. TL #1 won
2 and lost 1. TL #2 won 1 and lost 1. TL #3 lost both matches.
Almost all of our kids buzzed in at some time. It was a highlight
to see so many new quizzers hit the buttons and to see Sean and
Stacy get a team bonus. Jessie, Ben, Kara, Micah H and Micah W all
quizzed out. Come and join us this Sunday evening at Ephrata
Mennonite Church, 510 Stevens Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
Children’s Praise and Worship:
There will be a children's praise and worship night on January
27th starting at 7:00PM. The children will be introduced to ways
to praise God with songs, dance, prayer and art. The children will
have opportunities to experience worship in a “hands on” way. You
are welcome to drop your children off at 7:00 and then come back
at 8:15 to eat cookies, and hot cocoa with your child. This is for
children ages 3 through 5th grade. We encourage you to invite
children you know to come and experience worship. If you have any

Focus on Marriage Retreat:
March 23-25 is the weekend for married couples to get away for
some relaxation, a time to grow in your relationship and a chance
to learn to know some other TLers. The cost this year is
$286/couple, however, we will subsidize for those who need it, at
a cost of $250/couple. If you are interested in going, talk to
Phoebe Nafziger.
Congregational meeting:
Plan to attend our annual congregational meeting on Monday,
February 13 at 7 PM. This is a time to learn more about TL, by
reviewing the past year and looking ahead to the coming year and
what God has in store for us.
Courageous movie:
The movie Courageous will be shown here at Timberline on
Friday evening, Feb. 17 at 7 pm. If you are interested in seeing
this, or if you need childcare, please contact Marty Shimp

Stew U:
Save the Date for Stewardship University at Lancaster
Mennonite School on Saturday, March 3 beginning at 8 am. Please
see Ken Nafziger for registration.
Elders' Prayer
The Elders meet monthly for a time of intercessory prayer for
Timberline. If you have a special need or if you desire to be
anointed, please contact one of our pastors and we will arrange a
time for you to meet with us.
If you would like prayer, there will
be a time at the end of each service where someone will pray with
you. The prayer box is open any time for you to write out
your prayer requests and answers to prayer.
